Accoya

Image (41).jpeg

Accoya is a high technology wood originally from sustainably sourced softwoods such as pine. The trees are harvested once they reach maturity and the raw timber is modified using acetic acid in a process called acetylation, which involves changing the free hydroxyls within the wood into acetyl groups, this makes it much harder for the wood to absorb water.

Therefore removing any warping, shrinking or splintering issues when it comes to making. The end product being an extremely stable and durable real wood.
